On November 2, 2020, APRC broke ground on the Japanese Garden redesign in Lithia Park. Japanese Garden in Lithia Park

In 2018 the Ashland Parks Foundation received a $1.3 million gift earmarked to create an authentic Japanese Garden in Lithia Park. Jeff Mangin and the Marechal family of Normandy, France donated the funds in remembrance of Jeff’s late first wife, Beatrice Marechal, who passed away several years ago.
